Firstly thankyou to everyone who came to a show, bought a CD, all the venues, festival organisers and bookers for your unswerving support over the years. We wouldn’t be here without you and are looking forward to continuing the journey with you all.
For all you long term The Flumes fans who are wondering why we would do such a thing!? Please understand we haven’t done this lightly. We are deeply attached to our name but the confusion caused by The Flumes, Flume and The Fumes has become annoying to the point of unbearable. In fact it’s got our goat and made a curry but as they say “A change is as good as a holiday” and we’re moving on.
Thank you for bearing with us while we go through this transition and please be assured that it’s a name change only and we’ll still be making the music you’ve come to know and love since 2008. We’re in it for a long time as well as a good time and are treating this as part of the natural evolution of the band.
We’ve been cooking up some new tunes in our Solar Powered studio and looking forward to sharing them with you in the New Year.
Until then…Much Love
Kayt & Steph
We’re back at Noosa’s iconic Cafe le Monde for a couple of sets this Sunday 6th November.
Kayt and Steph will be lushin it up with the strings from 5-5:30pm at this year’s TURN UP! Sunshine Coast Music Industry Conference. You can get tickets here… + find out all about it here…
Launched in 2014, it’s about bringing musicians and industry personnel together in one place, at one time, to TURN UP, connect, share and network.
“The Goal of this event was to get Sunshine Coast musicians and industry personnel together in one place at one time to turn up, connect, share and network which they did”. David Dean, Hostile Entertainment
It’s been a while between hurrahs so we’re very pleased to say we’ll be back at The Motor Room at the Boundary Hotel in Brisbane’s West End.
It’s doubly good because we’ll be there with our good friend Felicity Lawless. We’re massive fans of Felic and her new album “Tales” has recently been on high rotation at the Casa Del Flumes. It’s an utter delight and we can’t wait to share a stage with her and her amazing band again this October.
